Dear parishioners and friends in Christ,

The Feast of All Saints falls on a Sunday this year and is a Holy Day of Obligation.  Masses for All Saints will be celebrated at our regular Saturday and Sunday schedule.  And on the following day, we will remember all of our deceased loved ones, as All Souls’ Day is on Monday November 2nd.  Envelopes with names to be remembered during our All Souls’ Novena can be returned in the collection basket this weekend and next.  Additional All Souls’ Day envelopes are available at the church doors.

And speaking of remembering our deceased loved ones, the 2027 Parish Mass Book will open Thursday, November 12th at 9:00 a.m. in the former primary school building.  Please use the cafeteria entrance.  Staff will stay there as long as is necessary.  Thereafter, the Mass Book will be available for your intentions during regular office hours at the Rectory.

In the interest of charity, fairness, and accuracy, we will not accept requests over the phone.  Once we have given those with particular special dates an opportunity to make those arrangements on the 12th, Masses will be available on a first come, first serve basis.

The offering for each announced Mass (as per Diocesan policy) is $20.00.  Again, in your charity and spirit of cooperation and fairness, please limit your requests on the initial days to five (5) Masses per person.  As per Church regulations, only one (1) intention may be reserved for each Mass.  Again, as per Diocesan policy, we will offer our Sunday morning 11:30 Mass for “multiple intentions”.  Our 7:30 Mass on Sunday morning will continue to be reserved for the general intentions of all of the people of the parish.  We hope that you all have the opportunity to prayerfully remember your loved ones at the altar of God on or near the dates you request.

As we approach Election Day, I want to encourage each of you to reflect on the privilege and responsibility we have as citizens and people of Faith.  Voting is a meaningful opportunity to use our influence to care for our community and neighbors.  Please join me in praying for wisdom for voters, integrity in our election systems, and guidance for all public leaders.

Don’t forget that next Sunday we turn our clocks back one hour as we return to Standard time.  Enjoy the extra hour of sleep, but don’t forget to come to Mass.

Have a great week and God bless you!

Devotedly yours in Christ,

Msgr. Bob Clerkin
