Dear parishioners and friends in Christ,
This weekend our Parish Outreach/Social Ministry hosted a garage sale to provide items for sale and to contribute to their operating revenues. Thank you to all who provided gently used goods and for all who participated in this first-time event.
Speaking of Parish Outreach, your weekly donations of canned goods and other non perishable food items are always appreciated. These donations can be left in the back vestibule of the church. Our St. Vincent de Paul Society directly benefits from your donations in the poor boxes at the church doors.
And, of course, your weekly contributions to our regular Sunday collection provide for the weekly expenses necessary to operate our parish ministries, buildings and grounds. Thank you for your generosity to our parish. You may have noticed that collection envelopes continue to be delayed in distribution due to our envelope printing supplier difficulties. They have assured us that they are working on this problem. In the meantime, please continue your generous support for our parish by using checks, cash, or the QR code in the stewardship box (electronic giving). And of course, you can use your own plain envelope with your name and account number. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
Our Religious Education team is presently processing registrations and assigning classrooms for this fall. Children must be registered by the end of this month. This is especially important for our first graders who will be entering our program for the first time.
We are currently pulling together a committee to plan the Annual Parish Party on Friday, November 20th. Once again, we need generous volunteers to make this event successful. Circle the date on your calendar for this annual parish evening under the stars at the North Hempstead Country Club.
